The main accommodation on the ground floor is accessed through a spacious cobbled terrace, complete with sun dial. It sleeps four (although an extra children’s bed can be provided on request) and consists of a spacious living and dining room with a well equipped, open-plan kitchen, which includes a dishwasher and microwave. There are two bedrooms: a double with an en-suite bathroom and a twin which has an adjacent bathroom (with washing machine). The bedrooms have ceiling fans and central heating panels, and the living room has air-conditioning/heating, a wood-burning fire and satellite TV/DVD. There is secure parking for up to four cars.
The first-floor apartment has its own balcony with amazing views of the river and the Alcornocales National Park. Stairs within the inner courtyard connect it to the ground floor and the walled garden with swimming pool. The accommodation consists of a large living room with a wood burner stove, satellite TV, and a very comfortable drop-down double bed. The eat-in kitchen looks out on the orange tree in the courtyard. There is also a bathroom and a twin bedroom.
This proprty is a unique residence built in the West Wing of the original building "La Real Fabrica de Artilleries de Carlos III" which manufactured canon balls used the Great Siege of Gibraltar 1779 -1783 and the Indies ars, hence it's name "la Fabric de Bombas" (The Bomb Factory).
It is situated on the outskirts of the bustling White Village of Jimena de la Frontera, with the river Hozgarganta (which was channelled to drive, via a water wheel, the machinery of the factory, flowing in front.
There is a back drop of dramatic craggy rocks, the top of which is crowned by a ruined Moorish Castle.
