This really is the place to get away from it all! Only a few miles from Iznajar village, yet a world away from the hustle and bustle of the coast. This charming old country house has been carefully renovated and now provides comfortable accommodation for the discerning traveller. The house stands amidst mature olive trees, overlooking Lake Iznajar and the mountains of the Subbetica Natural Reserve. An excellent choice for bird-watching, walking, cycling, painting, touring Andalucia, or just relaxing and recharging your batteries! The owners live in an adjoining house, and will be delighted to answer any questions or help with directions, booking restaurants, etc.
Bedroom sleeps 2. Twin beds with good quality mattresses, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table and lamp, mirror. Baby's cot available.
En-suite bathroom has large walk-in shower, basin and WC.
Kitchen/Dining Area equipped with gas oven and hob, fridge, sink and all necessary cutlery, crockery, glasses, pans, etc. Dining table and chairs.
Lounge area with sofa and coffee table. Satellite TV. CD player. Selection of books, jigsaw puzzles and board games. Fan provided for the warmer summer months. Heating in winter.
Large covered terrace with views over the mountains and to the lake. Sun loungers. Table and chairs. BBQ.
Towels and bed linen are provided and changed weekly. A welcome pack is provided.
No smoking inside the property, but you are welcome to smoke outside. This is a 'home from home' with the British owners and their pets living in an adjoining house, who are on hand to help in any way with directions, restaurant reservations, etc. Sorry but no children under 14 yrs of age.
This apartment is on the ground floor and is all on one level for anyone with mobility problems, although the doors are not wide enough for a wheelchair to pass through. Shaded parking is just a few steps away.

Bird watching with an expert local English guide can be arranged. Walking with a local English speaking group is free of charge and anyone is welcome to join in as long as they are reasonably fit and have the appropriate footwear (no high heels please!). Extra guided walks can be arranged with local English guides. For animal lovers there is Lobo Park, the wolf sanctuary. Or try the Donkey Sanctuary at Fuente de Piedra, also the location of a large lake which is home to as many as 40,000 flamingos and many other interesting birds. Horse riding can be arranged at a nearby stables, with great rides through the countryside. If you prefer to be pampered, there is a day spa nearby offering massage, jacuzzi and fabulous 12m saline swimming pool.
