This Park is situated 40mins from Malaga Airport, only a 15 minute stroll from the local village of Fuente de Piedra and benefits from stunning views of the famous lake where Pink Flamingos come each year to breed. The park has a swimming pool, bar, cafe, restaurant and a function room. The Park is also in the process of developing a crazy golf and tennis court and a short 5 minute stroll down the lane is a picnic area. Residents have their own remote control for access through the Security Gates and their own key for the Swimming Pool.
There is a donkey sanctuary in the village open to the public every day, with refreshment area and gift shop, where you can stroke the donkeys and mules and sponsor your favourite donkey. It's called El Refugio Del Burrito.
Fuente de Piedra is near to the A92 motorway and in approx 1 hour you can be in Cordoba, Seville or Granada, making it an excellent base from which to tour inland Andalucia.
10 minutes away is the station for the AVE high-speed train, which will take you to Madrid in 2hrs 20 mins.
The village has a population of around 2500, but many traditional bars and restaurants, where you can enjoy "tapas" and local specialities. Nearby are other villages with equally appealing restaurants. It celebrates Fiestas in July and September as well as all the traditional religious celebrations.
The lagoon is known to be the most important nesting place for the common flamingo and it is recognised as a Nature Reserve - A Special Bird Protection Zone. It has a Visitors Centre where information is available by means of audio-visual and inter-active systems.
There is a reception area and a mini-market on the site.
Activities nearby include walking, horse-riding, cycling, bird watching and go-karting.
