Nestling in one of the olive clad hillsides of Andalucia, a
typical rural Spanish country cottage. It is situated in the
outskirts of the small village of Fuente del Conde. The property is
approximately 100 years old and was renovated nearly 7 years ago,
but retains its traditional rustic charm, including ceiling beams
and some original doors. The centre of the village is a 5 minute
walk from the cottage and has a small supermarket that will sell
all the essentials for your stay including fresh local bread. The
village also has a bar and restaurant which serves food at
lunchtimes and in the evenings. There are numerous local
restaurants that serve good food which are easily reached by car
from the house.
Bedrooms: Master bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom
and shower on ground floor.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 with twin beds on first floor.
Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom to master bedroom with bath/shower
over, wc and handbasin
First floor shower room with shower, wc and handbasin
Kitchen: Andalucian style kitchen equipped with gas oven/hob,
fridge, dishwasher, toaster.
Utility Room: Situated off courtyard with washing
machine.
Living Rooms: The cosy lounge has a log burner, TV, DVD, CD &
tape micro-system. There are a number of CDs, DVDs and books for
guests' use.
All bed linen and towels (excluding swimming towels) are
provided.
There is air conditioning/heating units in all the bedrooms, and
there are portable fans and radiators, and electric blankets.
There is a carport and parking for two cars, and the
courtyard/terrace/patio area has a padlocked gate, and there is
also a padlocked gate to the swimming pool to make it safer for
children. However, we advise that children are supervised at all
times.
The patio and terrace area is a great place to eat and relax
whilst enjoying the view of the surrounding countryside. The tiled
patio is shaded by a vine and there is a mosaic tiled table with
seating for 6-8 people. There is also a barbeque area for cooking
alfresco conveniently situated within this area. Pick and eat the
fresh fruit if you want to. There are grapes, figs and nisperos' (
a small orange fruit ).
The utility room which houses the washing machine is accessed from
this courtyard.
The property benefits from its own private secluded swimming pool,
an essential ingredient for those long hot summer days. This is
reached by a flight of steps at the entrance to the courtyard and
has a terrace with sun loungers and parasol. This area is a sun
trap and has sun for the majority of the day.
Pool depth approx. 1.8 - 2.0 metres. We advise that children are
supervised at all times.
